I’m kind of addicted to figures at the moment…
Suzaku (April release) and Celty (June release) are pre-ordered, and Lelouch and Izaya are on their way here.
Zero Lelouch: I love the Lelouch figure. The cape is so fucking dynamic, I don’t care how much space it takes up. Sadly, I’m not a huge fan of the Emperor Lelouch figure, so I was so glad to snatch this baby up. Re-releases rarely ever happen. This figure is so dynamic, and if you take the cape off, wonderfully gay and foppish. I’ll probably keep the cape on because it’s so incredible and I’ll use his Geass head. Absolutely gor-geous. Also, anyone else notice Lelouch and Suzaku have similar arm-up poses? Perfect for posing next to each other.
Knight of Zero Suzaku: I don’t think they’ve made a figure of Suzaku in his Lancelot getup (I think they made a garage kit of it, but that baby’s long gone and I bet I’d mess it up putting it together). The Lancelot suit is my fucking favorite, so this saddens me. But I do love his Knight of Zero outfit. Again, dynamic cape, but I’m not sure how I’m going to display him. I might like him better with the cape off. But holy crap those boots are so slick. I want my own.
Izaya: Pre-ordered this baby back in October and God, I can’t wait for him to get here. This figure introduced me into the figure world, and thus my current figure craze. I could fucking marry those coat folds. I really fucking could. There’s so much detail, and I heard the cell phone has a text message on it that it’s sending to Shizu-chan at 1:30 AM (not an actual phone, obvs). It just captured him so well. I’m so excited for this baby to arrive.
Celty: Obviously, from my constant yaoi posts, I like men, so the fanservice girl figures don’t really appeal to me. However, this Celty figure is so fucking classy and top-notch in the detail department that I had to get it. It’s sexy without going over the top, those folds are so realistic, and I’m mesmerized by the smoke coming out of her head. Could the pose have been more dynamic, like swinging her scythe? Yes, but I love this nonetheless. It’s a good, relaxed pose and just…all the details! ALTER really outdid themselves. This is a MILLION TIMES better than that Kaitendo Celty figure.
Now, to wait for arrivals, releases, and the Shizuo pre-order to start…

HOLY SHIT I was on Hobby Search looking at the Celty figure pics (which I already pre-ordered of course, but from AmiAmi) and HOLY SHIT I FOUND THIS.
I have to get it. I have to fucking get it. GODDAMN YOU ALTER. I LOVE YOU, BUT YOU’RE GOING TO RUN ME BROKE. (thankfully, Shizuo is the last figure I plan to buy for a LONG time. hopefully.)
Thank God they haven’t started the pre-orders for him yet. I’m hoping they won’t start them til May since they didn’t start Celty’s til January.
That night… For the first time in a long time… I had a dream of when I was whole.

…I think I’m having a Shinra moment. I completely understand Celty’s desire to find her head and be whole again, but I feel that she doesn’t need it. She’s still so strong and beautiful. I have trouble imagining her with her head.
